8 months

You know, Mommy is very busy with me at home.

Especially the the fact that im a lot more active since the day i realised that i could alternate my left knee with my right arm and right knee with the left arm and be able to move forward.i could crawl!

On Feburary the 4th, Mommy noticed i could synchronise my knees and arms and she shook my dad violently to look at what i can do. i did a little wiggle and they both sang praises of me NON-STOP as if i could do a double backflip.

Merely 4 days later, i could crawl about 3-4 steps before my arms gave way and i fall on my bouncy cushioned pui pui tummy.

Mommy was absolutely proud of me.

My dad didnt just stop at praising.

He did a live-demo.

He got on his fours on the bed and did a "how to crawl" demonstration.

Daddy : "Gwenneth! Gwenneth!! See See!!! Like this.... you put your hand here.... (he positioned my hands forward and hurried back to pose just the same way) then you tuck your knees forwards...like this... come Gwenneth, move your knees like this?? Yess.... Clever girl!!"

He repeated it a few times to make sure i got it before picking me up and raised me up on the air by my armpits and give big smooches on my cheeks.

Then, another 2 days, i could move from lying on my front to a sitting position. now, i could change from lying on my back, flip and lie on my front, push my arms up and tuck my knees to my tummy and finally rest my bum on the floor and position my legs comfortably ot a sitting position in a matter of seconds!

I can climb over a mountain of pillows and they no longer work as a barrier on my Mommy's bed which was tailored made to be at the hip level of a standing adult.

My dad's sony laptop almost didnt survive the "great" fall from the bed.

Hence, Mommy no longer allow me to be on the bed if either of them woke up earlier and one side of the bed is vacant. (pillow walls dont work, remember?)

I can also raise myself to a kneeing down position by hanging on to the rails of the cot.

its a matter of days that i would master new techniques to allow myself to stand by the rails and have a better view of the room when i wake up from my nap. it would be fun to shock my Mom who happen to walk pass my room and i shall give her a naughty and cheeky chuckle, while she gasp for her breath in fright!

Here is the result of my Daddy's private crawling boot camp training at home!

Daddy said I passed with flying colours!

At 8 months. Im already all done with the immunisation that was required.

Dr Yip asked if Daddy and Mommy would like me to take the influenza jab as it was optional.

Mommy and Daddy was all for it so long it keeps me healthy and strong.

So i was scheduled for my first of the 2 dosages of the influenza jab at 8 months old.

Dr Yip checked my heartbeat as my Mommy went on asking a lot of questions if I can start taking cheese, if porridge is better than cereal, if my milk intake should increase etc

"Dr Yip, please pardon my naggy Mommy. She loves me."

Daddy helping the nurse to take my height. Its no longer an easy task as I like to wriggle and crawl.

Im 72cm tall

"Daddy... I wanna sit up!!!"

Taking my weight was very very very difficult too!
I dont like to lie down anymore. I want to sit up! sit up! sit up!!!!

I weigh 9.63kg.

Dr Yip said that Im of a good weight and is weighing like a 1 year old girl!

Lizzie Goh, you are not underweight.

Im fat.
