Bubbles and Smiles!

At about 3 months olds, Im more generous with my smiles...

Especially when you put me down on my $10 inflatable Ikea changing mat!

Bathing time!!!

Today, I shall blog on my bathing routine, once in the morning and once in the evening, each lasting 10mins.

I wake up no later than 8.30am by giving a few ferocious kicks on my mommy who sleeps on my right. I dont bother to wake up the other one on my left.

Snores...

Mommy would then carry me down the stairs and I would have stopped crying already...

I know its gonna be bathing time very soon!!!

Cikcik Yani would then prepare my bathing essentials and clothes while Mommy heats up 120-150ml of my milk milk from the fridge.

They would then clean my little ass while waiting for the kettle to whistle.

Oops.

Mommy would then childishly hold a "baby conversation" with me.

Gwen :"ehhh...ehhh..."

Mom : "ooohhhh...ooohhh..ehhhh....?"

Gwen: "ehhh...ehhh...ehhh!"

Mom : "yaaa...yaaaa...ayeeee..."

Gwen: "ehhhhhhh......."

Mom: "haha.....ehhhh....ehhhh...ya?"

Gwen: *smiles*

As you can see, Mommy's vocabulary is richer than mine.

I will catch up in no time Mom!

Mommy carries me to the white tub and takes this chance to cuddle my chubby naked body!

She then lowers my feet into the lukewarm water before she lets me lie on the non-slip blue mat on my own.

I can totally use that for naked sun bathing in future.

Mommy pours the luke warm on my body and wets my hair... She soaps her palms with Gaia organic baby wash and rubs the foam on my hair...neck...arms...palms...body...thighs and feet!

Its not polite to keep staring at my mini breasts.

Mommy rinses off the soap on my body and transfers me to my retro red tub for another rinse. It is the same tub my Daddy and Mommy bought for their wedding day!

>I create little waves in the tub!!!

Count my spare tyres...

I will get to use the retro potty soon too.

Mommy thought that no matter how "organic" or "no-rinse" the formula is, there should be no soap residue on my tender skin to risk any skin irritations.

They will both dry me up on the towel and Mommy would let Cikcik Yani put on fresh diapers and clothes for me while she reads the papers, drink her soyabean milk and turns a deaf ear to my crying...

cause i still want to be in the water !!!

Mommy would look at me and say...

"5 o'clock."

I gatecrashed their wedding

Mommy said I could go for GorGor Hwoon and YiYi Eve's church wedding if Im not down with fever from my jabs.

And so, i went uninvited.

Mommy dressed me in a new chateu dress and leggings with small little white hearts... and of course, a tiny white panty to hide my Size M diapers.

Its meant for 6-12 months, but its already getting tight.

I was cranky during my ride to the church which was a 10mins drive away. Mommy and Daddy was worried that we would have to stay outside so that my squeaky screams would not ruin the sacred wedding.

But!
When we reached, I guai guai dozed off on Mommy's shoulders!

Am i cooperative?

Please invite me to your wedding or birthday party.

You can mail me an invitation to my Lorong Ong Lye house.

and I will try to give you an ang pow from my underweight piggy bank...

if you really bear to take one from me...

Uncle Raymond loves fat babies.

Mom~ only me looking at the camera leh...

Oh Mommy! i wanna sing too!

"Oei! Pay attention please!" Mommy scolded the both of us...

Anyhow, everyone gave my Mommy the "oh...so fat and cute" smiles

I tell you...you all made my Mommy oh-so-proud.

We secretly took the flower bouquet for a quick picture. Can i bring it home???

Daddy with Groom, GorGor Hwoon, while Mommy abandoned me to look-see-look-see at the buffet spread.

Daddy and GorGor Weiming

GorGor Bob carried me.

I clinged on to GorGor Bob like a spider.

Everyone teaching me to say "Hi!!!"

"Daddy... Im tired...."

Daddy then quickly went off to pick up his car from the carpark.

One more shot with Bride, JieJie Evelyn

Everyone debates on who should bring me home.

Daddy says..."NONE."

Daddy and Mommy attended the wedding banquet without me... PorPor came to baby sit me for the night while they sneak off to Modiva for dancing!

"Can bring me there next time or not?"

I appeared on the wedding montage and it made Mommy blush...

"Ooooh...that cute baby is my daughter."

One...Two...Three!

Im 3months old!

Irregardless if you count it by the weeks or the 18th of every month, or every 15th of the lunar calender.

Im officially 3!!!

I didnt have to see Dr Yip at my 2nd month, so, my weight and height ( or rather, length) was unknown.

Mommy was very excited about my new weight at 3months cause she could already feel the ache in her left arm!

My PorPor had resorted to Salon Pas!

Mommy, bathe and fed me, and we both waited for Daddy to come home from office to send us to Gleneagles.

Daddy offered me to take the wheels.

I horned to warn all pedestrains.

Hey! Here comes Gwenneth!

Daddy said it would be a car for my 18th birthday present.

I would like the volkswagan beetle in vanilla white please.

It would go very well with my milk milk bottle on my right hand while i sing *"Tokyo Drift Drift Drift Drift!!!"* and steer the wheels with my chunky left arm.

While we waited for our turn, we snap pictures of my 3rd visit to the clinic.

The nurses took my weight, length and head circumference.

A whopping 7KG!!!

Average babies of my age weighs 6Kg at the 50th percentile.

At 62cm in length.

My head circumference with my intelligent brainy is 40.8cm

Dr Yip explained to Daddy and Mommy the jabs recommended and Daddy believed that its important to get all the tested n proven vaccinations regardless the cost or the temporary pain I had to go through... Mommy comforted me that its all worth it cause I would be protected from the horrible viruses that will make me very uncomfortable and sick.

And so, the menu for the day is

1) 5-IN-1 jab (Mommy just nodded in confusion as Dr Yip rattled on with profound medical terms)

2) preumococcal vaccination

3) 1st out of 3 rotavirus oral dosage

Here is a checklist of all the things i can do at 3months in my health booklet!

  • when i lie on my back, i can look and watch your face

  • when u smile to me, i smile back at you

  • i can follow the movenement of an object from one side to the other

  • i can touch both my own hands togther

  • i can touch the rattle

  • when i hear a bell out of my line of vision, i respond with eye movements

  • i make "uh" "oo" "eh" "ah" sounds

  • i move my hands and legs equally

  • when on tummy, i can lift my head momentarily off the surface

These seem to be such easy tasks for you, but they are all my BIG achievements in my small small world!

Praise me please!!

and now....

pity me...

Are you really gonna poke needles into my thighs?

I have strong arms...

Dr Yip took me on a superman ride.

We were both posing for a shot for Mommy, but Dr Yip is not ready just yet.

Dr Yip is very kind and speaks with a very gentle voice.

Gwenneth's guide to a fearful jab.

Before anything happens, scream first!

Then, your Daddy will comfort you with his kisses and assure you that "everything is gonna be alrite".

and then drown their voices with a loud wail cause they will still poke the needle into your thigh regardless what.

Must as well Ssssscream!

Do request for Handyplast with Mickey Mouse prints.

Can you see my blood on the alcohol swipes?

and yes, it hurts.

Continue to moan a bit in pain and let the tears stay welled in the eyes...This will earn you extra "oh-so-pitiful" points.

They will then hug you for a long time till you doze off to sleep and not put you down on the pram all alone!

See?? Daddy hugs...

Dr Yip said that only 5% of the babies will develop fever. I just happen to be with the other 95%.

Thank god!

Mommy was worried and measured my temperature after every feed to make sure i was coping well with the jabs for the rest of the day.

She told me that if im all good and well, she would bring me for the church wedding tomorrow in a new pink dress!
