When I was tiny, I cant really appreciate toys just yet.
I would look at them because they are colorful and cannot really be bothered even if they go out of sight.
Now, I LOVE toys!!!
not only they must be colourful, make rattling noises and also very importantly, they must taste good...
cause I put everything into my mouth and coat them with a thick layer of my saliva.
Sometimes, i would even drench them, if necessary.
Actually, toys started way before i was born.
When Mommy was very pregnant with me and shopping around at Takashimaya baby fair, she came across this big toy that was suspended by 3 mighty springs.
A baby would get to sit in it and be entertained by the variety of activities on the "dashboard".
The seat can also revolve for the baby to explore around him/her.
and of course, the familiar brand, Fisherprice, kept a eager "Mommy-to-be" interested and her eyes searched for the price tag.

"SIAO!"
Mommy rolled her eyes in disbelieve and began a string of thoughts (with some very mild swearing) of who would be that crazy enough to spend so much money on a T.O.Y?
... ... and 4 months later, after i was born:
MY VERY OWN JUMPEROO!!!
I would make the wheel of colour chart roll, squeeze the parrot, pull the ears of the elephant...
Roll the transparent ball with the orange sun in it and it would flip and swirl round and round...
I love the rattle with the blue lizard too!!!
Mommy heard other June Mommies raving about the "excer-saucer" and the Jumperoo.
She finally chose to splurge on the jumperoo after reviews from other babies that I would get to excercise on the Jumperoo with some opportunities to jump around and perhaps shed some kilos.
and true enough, I loveeeee it!!
I would touch, squeeze and tap on my little toys that were fixed on the Jumperoo, and roll every rattle that makes noise like the rain.
I would revolve and rotate round my activity board and play them over and over again!
I would kick and jump in excitment... I shook the Jumperoo so violently that Cikcik Yani was so worried that it would fall apart.
Now, it is one of my morning activities when I have so much energy to burn after a good night sleep and a hearty feed of milk and cereal. That would drain me a bit and prepare me for my noon nap :)
Here is my friend, and his name is PorkPork.
He is a pig that Mommy came across, shopping in Plaza Sing and paid for it immediately when she took a closer look and realised that it was made of towel material.
Mommy prefers toys that are washing machine friendly .... that would mean "clean toys".
Pork Pork is a good cushion for me to lean on as I learn to sit upright on my own from about 5 months.
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............ MOMMY!!! HELP!!!
Now........ my 2 teething toys.
The silly looking red crab on the right is "PEPPER".
I prefer JAWS as i like shark's fin better.
Kidding... its just because the shape of the fins fit my tiny mouth better and it is easier for me to chew on.
Mommy...i hate taking photographs...
This is one unexpected toy that can keep me occupied for a long time... Guess what?
its a "no frills" tissue box. Mommy cant even remember which supermarket she went to, for this blue and white box of tissue!!!
if u see this, please let my Mommy know k?
Once, Mommy had to drive to the airport to fetch Daddy and i was alone at the back seat. Mommy gave me the blue and white tissue box and i never make a noise throughout the whole PIE-ECP journey!
Mommy could see my tiny chubby hand holding onto the corner of the tissue box and patting it occasionally cause my car seat was positioned backwards at the back seat from the driver's view.
Come meet my economic crisis toy!
Mommy read it from a baby's website that she can stuff a brightly coloured cloth into the tissue box and i would derive great joy pulling the cloth out and then putting it back in, over and over again...
this would also teach me that things can be temporarily out of sight and it doesnt mean that it wouldnt be there anymore.
Here is now new doll, Julia.
Mommy bought this because her hair is made of fabric and not the typical wool material that the manufacturers uses for doll's hair pleats.
Daddy asked "Why the name 'Julia'?"
Mommy shrugged and pointed at the name tag that was on the doll's dress.
She is mine for about a week already and has been sleeping with me and my parents.
I would clench my fingers on her hair pleat to sleep...sometimes its my beanie..sometimes its my Mommy's finger.
Another of my favourite toy is Choo-Choo-Train.
Its the toy that my Mommy bought from Toys R Us at Novena.
3 balls would take turn and drops into the funnel and comes out from the top and then drops into the funnel again, each time i tap the yellow rectangle button!
I would stop the balls from rolling into the funnel and I derive great joy doing just that!
Perhaps i really knew what I was doing or perhaps its just pure coincidence that my palm landed on the yellow button each time after the music stopped.
Daddy and Mommy would give each other the stunned look everytime i do that to activate the little train!
and finally, my favourite toy of the year 2008...
that lights up my face each time its in sight.
and the big happy smiles...
heeheehee...
Its my Daddy... ...
