However Daddy would play with me in the morning before he goes to work, while Mommy catches her morning naps after feeding me breakfast and watching Pocoyo and Thomas the train with me.
Daddy would also play with me after he comes back from work at dinner time about 7ish.
but i would usually be eating my porridge as he takes his dinner with Mommy and by 8.30pm, i would be sleepy and Mommy would tuck me to bed already.
Whenever possible, Daddy would make effort to spend quality time with me and teach me how to walk, do new tricks and sometimes very very difficult Maths equations.
while Mommy teaches me about aeroplanes and flowers, Daddy would bring me to the fridge and teach me about ice and "feeling cold cold".
Daddy not only has high expections of me to learn adjectives instead of nouns first, he amazes Mommy with his "out of the box" education and above all, his "out of the world" answers.
Many months back, Mommy was reading me my bedtime stories.
Ive 2 bedtime story books. One is "Dazzling Mermaid" and the other is "Sparkling Angel".
"Sparkling Angel" is a book about a little girl, helping to decorate her home for Christmas.
Every night, Mommy would read to me, page by page and explain the pictures to me in details and even count the number of stars on it. Mommy would also make small talk with me on magic wands, christmas costumes, shiny baubles and gift wrapping presents!
Typically, it goes like this with Mommy:
Mommy : " Write some christmas cards with love from you... Don't forget to add hugs and kisses too!"
Mommy : " Next time, we shall write christmas card to ah gong, ah mah, gong gong and por por k! then we will seal it with a big big kiss! Muuuuack!"
However, it goes like this with Daddy:
Daddy : " Write some christmas cards with love from you... Don't forget to add hugs and kisses too!"
Daddy : " Gwenneth... Don't be like her k? The pen very dirty...dun put in your mouth!"
Mommy : "... ..."
At a bout 8 months, Daddy was trying to teach me about "sharing" and he asked me to pass him the ball in my hands. I stretched out to offer but i couldnt really give it to Daddy yet.
Daddy : " Gwenneth dunnoe how to pass the ball to me yet."
Mommy : " thats normal... they cant really let the object off her hand yet. thats what the book says for a 8 months old..."
Daddy : "No! Gwenneth has IQ of a 1 year old!"
Mommy totally ignored Daddy.
Today, i was crawling all over the living room with my Mommy following close behind me in case i pick up things along the way and put it into my mouth.
Mommy noticed that i paused and was very quiet, looking attentively on the floor.
Mommy :" Daddy! She is playing with ants! EEeeee!"
Daddy : " Why? never mind lah! let her play and explore."
Mommy : " Later she would squash the poor ant with her fat fingers and then put it into her mouth!" as she was saying it, she hurriedly picked me up by my armpits and carried me away.
Daddy : " The ant is so small and if Gwenneth can catch it, the ant deserves to be eaten!"
Mommy flipped.
