See what Mommy did to my hair!

There is always this debate of whether you should shave off your baby's hair.

It usually happens at the first month party and then another during the 4th month since birth.

My Mommy and Daddy had their hair shaven off when they were babies, in the light that their hair will grow neatly, nicely and hopefully more lucious.

However, there were also examples of babies with beautiful hair and they have not shaven it since birth.

So how?

Mommy adopted the "see-how-it-goes" plan.

She suggested to my Ah ma that they snip a bit of my hair as a formality during the first month celebration.

Then, as time goes by, there were more and more conflicting TO CUT and NOT TO CUT advices.

Mommy thought that she can, maybe, shave of a little portion of my hair and see if my hair really does grow faster.

Generally I have pretty healthy hair, just perhaps, very fine... Baby hair: )

At birth, I also have this "swirl" (whatever you call it) right smack near my forehead. I have another one at the spot where every other babies have it, at the top back of the head.

Its like something special about me that amuses many, but how is my fringe going to grow in future???

Mommy thought of Wilma Flintstone , the moment she saw it.

My future side profile.

Hi everyone, Im Gwenneth Tan.

So, back to the shaving hair issue.

Mommy chose a spot with the least opp cost (opportunity cost) and shaved it with a new disposable razor, which she happily took home from her hotel stay during her honeymoon.

and see what happens!

She guilty confessed to Daddy of her little experiment and Daddy laughed at my horrible bald spot.

Till date, for your information, it hasn't grown much.

Mommy whispered remorsefully into my ears... "Poor thing".
