Im 3months old!
Irregardless if you count it by the weeks or the 18th of every month, or every 15th of the lunar calender.
Im officially 3!!!
I didnt have to see Dr Yip at my 2nd month, so, my weight and height ( or rather, length) was unknown.
Mommy was very excited about my new weight at 3months cause she could already feel the ache in her left arm!
My PorPor had resorted to Salon Pas!
Mommy, bathe and fed me, and we both waited for Daddy to come home from office to send us to Gleneagles.
Daddy offered me to take the wheels.
I horned to warn all pedestrains.
Hey! Here comes Gwenneth!
Daddy said it would be a car for my 18th birthday present.
I would like the volkswagan beetle in vanilla white please.
It would go very well with my milk milk bottle on my right hand while i sing *"Tokyo Drift Drift Drift Drift!!!"* and steer the wheels with my chunky left arm.
While we waited for our turn, we snap pictures of my 3rd visit to the clinic.
The nurses took my weight, length and head circumference.
A whopping 7KG!!!
Average babies of my age weighs 6Kg at the 50th percentile.
At 62cm in length.
My head circumference with my intelligent brainy is 40.8cm
Dr Yip explained to Daddy and Mommy the jabs recommended and Daddy believed that its important to get all the tested n proven vaccinations regardless the cost or the temporary pain I had to go through... Mommy comforted me that its all worth it cause I would be protected from the horrible viruses that will make me very uncomfortable and sick.
And so, the menu for the day is
1) 5-IN-1 jab (Mommy just nodded in confusion as Dr Yip rattled on with profound medical terms)
2) preumococcal vaccination
3) 1st out of 3 rotavirus oral dosage
Here is a checklist of all the things i can do at 3months in my health booklet!
- when i lie on my back, i can look and watch your face
- when u smile to me, i smile back at you
- i can follow the movenement of an object from one side to the other
- i can touch both my own hands togther
- i can touch the rattle
- when i hear a bell out of my line of vision, i respond with eye movements
- i make "uh" "oo" "eh" "ah" sounds
- i move my hands and legs equally
- when on tummy, i can lift my head momentarily off the surface
These seem to be such easy tasks for you, but they are all my BIG achievements in my small small world!
Praise me please!!
and now....
pity me...
Are you really gonna poke needles into my thighs?
I have strong arms...
Dr Yip took me on a superman ride.
We were both posing for a shot for Mommy, but Dr Yip is not ready just yet.
Dr Yip is very kind and speaks with a very gentle voice.
Gwenneth's guide to a fearful jab.
Before anything happens, scream first!
Then, your Daddy will comfort you with his kisses and assure you that "everything is gonna be alrite".
and then drown their voices with a loud wail cause they will still poke the needle into your thigh regardless what.
Must as well Ssssscream!
Do request for Handyplast with Mickey Mouse prints.
Can you see my blood on the alcohol swipes?
and yes, it hurts.
Continue to moan a bit in pain and let the tears stay welled in the eyes...This will earn you extra "oh-so-pitiful" points.
They will then hug you for a long time till you doze off to sleep and not put you down on the pram all alone!
See?? Daddy hugs...
Dr Yip said that only 5% of the babies will develop fever. I just happen to be with the other 95%.
Thank god!
Mommy was worried and measured my temperature after every feed to make sure i was coping well with the jabs for the rest of the day.
She told me that if im all good and well, she would bring me for the church wedding tomorrow in a new pink dress!
